Haddington Hockey comprises Haddington Ladies’, Men’s and Youth sections, catering from P2 to adult. It’s aim is to provide hockey for all. The Youth Section is a friendly and lively hockey club, with training in core skills combined with teamwork/play and fun. It aims to provide the best possible start for children embarking on their hockey journey. Children can move on from junior to senior training and then continue on to the adult teams. All teams play regular league fixtures and the Youth Section holds its own annual tournament in March. Haddington Hockey is fully committed to developing its players and also provides opportunities within the club for umpire training and coaching development

Haddington Golf Club

Haddington Golf Club is a long-established parkland course within the boundaries of a former country estate. The 18-hole, par 71 (6335 yards) course is set in peaceful walled surroundings with the river Tyne on its north boundary. The course, set in 130 acres, contains many natural features and offers a challenge to golfers of all categories. New resident professional Scott Thomson gives lessons, golfing accessories are available from the new pro shop, and the club also boasts an extensive practice area. Memberships are available and visiting parties are welcome. The clubhouse with bar is open to non members.

Haddington Cycle Club

Haddington Cycle Club’s main goal is to get as many people as possible involved with the club and the sport in general. Regular rides are organised at weekends and the club takes part in a variety of events across the country – from races to sportives in various disciplines, including cyclocross, road and mountain biking, duathlons and triathlons. The club has British Cycling affiliation which allows members to take advantage of the benefits this provides. We welcome everyone to ride with us free of charge and after a reasonable amount of time become a fully paid up member of the club.

Haddington Curling Club

Haddington Curling Club was founded in 1846 and is one of the oldest curling clubs in Scotland. Like most other clubs, we curl at Murrayfield Ice Rink, which is the nearest permanent venue, although we are always on the lookout for suitable conditions to curl outdoors. Our season runs from October through to March, with most of our club matches taking place on weekday evenings. The club is small and friendly and always welcomes new curlers of any standard.

Haddington Cricket Club

Neilson Park, Mill Wynd

 

Established in 1877, Haddington Cricket Club is the second oldest sporting club in the town. The club currently plays its matches at Neilson Park and is an active participant in the East League where it plays in Division 4. It also runs a social midweek/Sunday XI. The club also has a very active junior set-up, and runs sides at Under 11, Under 13 and Under 15 levels.

Haddington Badminton Club

Haddington Badminton club is a fun friendly club that has players of all levels and abilities. Members have the opportunity of playing socially or competing for the club in the East Lothian and Lothian leagues. Anyone is welcome to come down as a guest for a nominal fee. The club is affiliated to the East Lothian Badminton Association and Badminton Scotland, but prides itself as being open to all standards and having no membership restrictions. Everybody is welcome.

Haddington Athletic Football Club

Founded in 1939, Haddington Athletic, nicknamed the Hi-His, is a junior club which plays in the Scottish Junior FA East Region.  In 2014/15, the club won the South Division League and was promoted to the East Region Premier League. The Hi-His play their home matches at Millfield Park. The ground has a capacity of 500, and there is a small covered shelter. The club also runs an active community set-up, catering for all ages and abilities and providing a pathway from first steps through to playing at adult amateur or semi-professional level.

Haddington and District Amateur Swimming Club

Haddington and District Amateur Swimming Club (HDASC), established 1975, is a successful competitive swimming club.  Based at the Aubigny Centre, the club holds Scottish Swimming ‘SwiMark’ accreditation for demonstrating good practice and a commitment to athlete, volunteer and coach development. HDASC provides a friendly, focussed environment where qualified, experienced coaches help children to develop excellent swimming technique, learn new skills, and improve their stamina, speed and fitness.  The club helps children become the best swimmers that they can be, in a culture of fairness where confidence is built and individual progress is celebrated.
